Economic Analysis

FROM DATA TO DECISIONS

Economic analysis is a key pillar in empowering cities, business and communities. It provides the insights needed for smarter decisions and sustainable growth, both now and into the future. A lack of proper Economic Analysis too often results in poor decisions and missed opportunities.

Atlas’ suite of Economic Analysis services is broad. Our expertise ranges from trend and industry analysis, socio-economic profiling, business and industry engagement, economic impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, policy evaluation and business case preparation.

We specialise in combining our Economic Analysis with our other key services – Financial Analysis and Property Valuations. It is through our unique combination of these services that we add value for our clients. Turning data to decisions, we strive to make the complex simple.

Financial Analysis

FROM NUMBERS TO NEIGHBOURHOODS

Financial Analysis is critical to understanding the viability of any investment. Unlike Economic Analysis, which looks at the socio-economic implications of a project, Financial Analysis investigates the financial implications of a project.

Financial Analysis enables refinement of a project against investment criteria and ultimately selection of a project option that delivers on its financial objectives. Atlas’ breadth of expertise in financial analytics can test the merits of investment in land use, development and infrastructure. This includes development feasibility analysis, capacity to pay assessments, cost recovery pricing, highest and best use assessments and financial impact assessments.

Critically, we combine Financial Analysis with our other core services – Economic Analysis and Property Valuations – to ensure our clients have a bespoke and comprehensive solution to their specific challenges.

Property Valuations

FROM INSIGHTS TO IMPACT

Land and property are scarce resources, and their values have significant implications when planning for development and infrastructure. They also have implications for the viability of public policy settings.

Atlas’ team of consultants include certified property valuers who provide valuation services in the residential, commercial, industrial and mixed-use sectors. Atlas specialises in the provision of valuation advice for compulsory acquisitions and are market leaders in this space.

As a team of expert valuers, we bring significant value to projects that also require Economic and Financial Analysis. We understand how property markets behave, and the commercial realities. This is critical to successfully plan for land uses and infrastructure. Turning insights into impact, our valuations expertise ensures important decisions are evidence-based and commercially grounded.

From plans to places these are the sectors we work with

From data to decisions, our team of specialists work with clients across a wide range of sectors across Australia. Our analysis and insights empower our clients to make smarter decisions. We are experts in making the complex simple.

Agriculture and Agribusiness

Agribusiness has always been a key economic strength and pillar of our regional communities. As Asia’s food bowl, Australian agribusiness and agriculture is poised for growth.

Atlas combines skills in land use, economics, and valuations, combined with our unique background in regional economics, to identify and support viable agribusiness opportunities.

Business and Commercial Uses

Understanding the requirements of different industries is one of our fundamental skill sets. It is critical in a period of structural change.

We assist clients in understanding what land uses will work, be it commercial office, retail, enterprise, showroom, or some hybridized blend. From data to decisions, we ensure planning for business uses is commercially viable and sustainable.

Culture & Community

It is undeniable that communities thrive when there is access to communal and shared spaces. Places where people can meet, learn, create, and relax.

This includes a wide range of communal spaces – including childcare, sporting facilities or libraries. We provide the economic and financial analysis needed to make effective use of funding sources.
