Western City Housing Supply
The Western Parkland City is comprised of eight local government areas and is projected to be Greater Sydney’s most populated metropolis over the next two decades. The Western City is expected to accommodate more than a third of Sydney’s expected population growth. Investment and development momentum is building, driven by unprecedented levels of infrastructure commitment to the region including the Western Sydney Airport and North-South Rail Link.
The ability of the region to accommodate expected population growth when required is key to establishing Sydney’s third metropolis. While many of Sydney’s land release areas are located in the region, fragmented land ownership and lack of services infrastructure present challenges for development.
Atlas carried out a Housing Supply Analysis that comprehensively investigated the likely capacity of the Western City District to accommodate the housing required over the coming decades.
