Luddenham Village
Land Use Assessment
The Luddenham Village is a small peri-urban suburb on the edge of Greater Sydney’s urban footprint. It has a concentration of local heritage items that reflect early period European settlement.
The Village falls within the Agribusiness Precinct within the future Western Sydney Aerotropolis.
Following the public exhibition of draft precinct plans for the Agribusiness Precinct and Luddenham Village, community feedback has objected to the envisaged future role of the Village.
What we did
Atlas worked within a multi-disciplinary team to provide land use advice to guide the future planning and vision for the Luddenham Village given its location adjacent the Western Sydney Airport and within the Western Sydney Aerotropolis.
Atlas contributed to preparation of a discussion paper that provides the basis for dialogue with stakeholders on the key opportunities, constraints and land use objectives for the Village.
The outcome
The Luddenham Village Discussion Paper was publicly exhibited in October 2021.
An Interim Strategy identifies how the planning framework for Luddenham Village has changed as a result of the finalisation of the Planning Package, and identifies the work needed to finalise the Luddenham Village Plan.
