In December 2018 the NSW Government announced its commitment to preparing a Fast Rail Network Strategy. Four potential routes were announced within 300 kilometres of Sydney:
A fast rail network is intended to be a catalyst for economic growth in Regional NSW through improvements in travel times and better connectivity.
Atlas worked within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and test land use scenarios that informed a strategic business case.
