Economic Feasibility Analysis

The Westmead Place Strategy outlines the vision, structure, plan and principles to guide detailed land use planning in the Westmead Precinct. It identifies seven neighbourhoods in the Westmead Precinct including Westmead South.

Following preparation of the Westmead Place Strategy, Cumberland Council commenced strategic planning for Westmead South.

What we did

Atlas was engaged by Cumberland Council to provide guidance on various land uses, appropriate densities and spatial distribution within the Westmead South neighbourhood.

Atlas worked with the project team to test the feasibility of amalgamation patterns and infrastructure requirements (including Affordable Housing).

The outcome

The Westmead South Masterplan was placed on public exhibition in October 2023. The Masterplan and planning controls will be considered by Council and the Local Planning Panel.
